PNG to EPS converter

PNG or JPG to EPS, as real shapes.

Drop in a logo, a badge or a sign as a PNG or JPG. VecSnap redraws it as clean shapes and writes an EPS a print shop opens: vector paths, no pixels inside, and a transparent background left empty.

To convert a PNG or JPG to EPS, drop it on VecSnap, then download it for a print shop. The EPS holds the drawing as vector shapes with no pixels inside, so it prints sharp at any size, and a transparent background stays empty. Its colors are RGB: a shop that prints in CMYK converts them, and the PDF that comes with the same credit names its color profile for that. Converting and previewing are free.

Inside the file

What's inside my EPS?

An EPS is a short program a printer runs to draw your picture: a few lines that name the file, then each shape as its color and its outline. This is the whole EPS VecSnap wrote for the picture above. Point at a shape's lines to find it.

Real vectors

Is a PNG converted to EPS a real vector?

Only when the converter draws shapes. Many put the PNG's pixels inside an EPS: the same picture, many times heavier, often in a white box where it was see-through: the same PNG both ways, up close and as each file's own lines.
