Privacy policy

This policy explains what VecSnap collects, why, how long we keep it, who processes it for us, and what you can do about it. VecSnap is operated by the company named in our terms of service.

What we collect

• Your email address and the sign-in method you used (Google, GitHub or a code we email you). We never ask for a password.
• The images you upload, the SVG files we make from them, a preview picture of each result, and the name of the file you uploaded.
• When each conversion ran, the options you chose, whether it worked, and every credit you received or spent.
• What you bought. Paddle, our merchant of record, takes your payment. We receive the order and the credits it bought, never your card number.
• Your IP address and the result of a security check when you sign in, used to stop abuse and to limit free conversions fairly.
• How you use our website and the app: the pages you visit, what you press, how fast pages load, the errors you hit, and the country you connect from. We also record some visits as a replay of the page, so we can see where something is confusing or broken. Every image is hidden in a replay, and in your account all text is hidden too. Your images, your file names and your email address are never part of this.

Your theme and interface size are kept in your browser and never sent to us. We use no advertising or tracking cookies; the only cookies we set keep you signed in. Our analytics store nothing on your device: your choice to turn them off is kept with your account.

How long we keep it

A shared copy of each result is kept under a fingerprint of the image's content, with nothing that links it to you. When anyone uploads exactly the same image file, we can return that result without converting it again. This copy stays after you delete your account.

Nothing you convert is made public

We never show your images or your results to anyone else. There is no public gallery and no showcase.

Improving VecSnap

We may use the images you upload and the results we make from them to train, tune and test our own engine, under the license in our terms of service. Today we make no copies for this. Before we start, your account settings will have a switch for it, on by default. You will be able to turn it off at any time; with it off we make no new copies, and deleting your account deletes the copies we made. A model already trained on them is not retrained. These copies are never shown to anyone and never shared.

Each processes your data only to do this for us.

Your choices

• You can see and download your conversions and their files from your account at any time.
• You can turn analytics off in your account settings. We then stop recording anything about you. We also honor Global Privacy Control: with it on, your browser sends us no analytics.
• You can delete your account from the Account page. This deletes your sign-in, your email address, your uploads, your results and their files, at once. What stays is the shared copy described above and the billing records the law requires.
• You can ask us anything about your data, or to correct it, at support@vecsnap.com.

VecSnap is not meant for children under 16.

Changes

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use what you have already given us, we tell you in the app before it applies.
